Director General of the  United Nations Industrial Development Organization 


 Li Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), has had an  extensive career as a senior economic and financial policy-maker. As Vice-Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China and member of the Monetary Policy Committee  of the Central Bank for a decade, Mr. Li was involved in setting and harmonizing fiscal, monetary and industrial policies, and in supporting sound economic growth in China. He pushed forward financial sector reform,  and prompted major financial institutions to establish corporate governance, deal with toxic assets and  strengthen risk management.  Mr. Li attached great importance to fiscal and financial measures in favor of agricultural development and  SMEs, the cornerstones for creating economic opportunities, reducing poverty and promoting gender equality. He played a key role in China’s cooperation with multilateral development organizations, such as the World  Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank.

 Zhou Hanmin, Professor of Law, PhD Supervisor, Honorary Doctor of Laws conferred by the University of  Liverpool of the United Kingdom, currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the National  Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee  of the China National Democratic Construction Association, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, President of the Shanghai Institute of Socialism, Director of the China Vocational Education Association,  Shanghai, and Chairman of the Shanghai Public Diplomacy Association. 

       Professor Zhou was a teacher in Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) from  1983 to 2000. He has ever served as Vice President of SUIBE and Dean of the School of Law. From August  2000 to March 2003, he served as the Deputy Governor of Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Government.  In 2002, as the Chinese Delegate to BIE and Deputy Director of the Leader’s Group of Shanghai World Expo  Office residing in Paris, France, he was fully engaged in the whole process of bidding for the World Expo.  From October 2003 to February 2009, he served as the Deputy Director General of the Bureau of Shanghai  World Expo Coordination, taking charge of the exhibition affairs of programs and enterprises at cities,  districts, provincial, and national levels and of international organizations, as well as legal and protocol affairs  during preparations for the World Expo. He served as the Deputy Director General of the Executive Committee  of Expo 2010 Shanghai China from February 2009. 

        For the past three decades, Professor Zhou has been devoting himself to the teaching and research of International Economic Law, International Trade Law, GATT/WTO, Sino-US Relations, the development and  opening-up of Pudong New Area, and World Expositions. He also holds current positions, including a member  of the International Commercial Expert Committee of the Supreme People’s Court and Honorary Dean of the  Law School of SUIBE. He is an honored professor of the Cafoscari University of Venice and adjunct professor  and visiting professor of many universities, including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University,  Xiamen University, Tongji University, Dongbei University of Finance & Economics, East China University of  Political Science and Law, Shanghai University, Donghua University and Shanghai University of International  Business and Economics.

 Former Chief Negotiation Representative and  Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation


Mr. Long Yongtu received his BA Degree of British and American Literature in Guizhou University in 1965, and  furthered his postgraduate study in international economics at London School of Economics from 1973 to 1974. Mr. Long has long been engaged in foreign trade affairs and international economic cooperation. He served  as a diplomat in the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in New York from 1978 to 1980. From  1980 to 1985, he worked in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), first in the New York  headquarter and then in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as Deputy Resident Representative of the  UNDP office from 1985 to 1986. From 1986 to 1991, he was the Deputy Director of China International Center  for Economic and Technical Exchanges of MOFTEC. In January 1992, Mr. Long was appointed Director-general of Department of International Relations, MOFTEC, in April 1994 Assistant Minister and in 1997 Vice  Minister of MOFTEC. From January 1995 to September 2001, he dedicated over 15 years as the Chief Negotiator for the prolonged trade negotiation that brought China to the World Trade Organization.


In January 2003, Mr. Long was elected Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia by its Board of Directors.  From July 2010, he has been member of Consultative Committee of Boao Forum for Asia. 


Mr. Long was the Dean of School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University and Dean of  China Institute of International Studies. He is visiting professor of many renowned Chinese academic institutions, including Peking University, Tsinghua University and Renmin University. He is also the board member  of Shantou University at Li Ka-shing’s invitation. In July 2006, Mr. Long was awarded the honorary degree of  Doctor of Science (Economics) by London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). 


Mr. Long was awarded the 2003 CCTV China Economic Person of the Year. In October 2004, he received a  special award by the United Nations Secretary General Mr. Kofi Annan. In August 2005, His Majesty King  Albert II of Belgium decreed to award the Insignia of Officer in the Order of Leopold to Mr. Long for his  outstanding contributions to the facilitation of regional cooperation.

American economist, futurist, and thinker of the “digital age”


George Gilder, a graduate of Harvard University, studied under former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.  Mr. Gilder is a world-renowned economist and futurist, and one of the top three thinkers of the “digital age”.  He received the White House Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Mr. Gilder is a representative of supply-side economics in the 1980s, advocating the concept of “tax cuts  raise government revenue”. His book Wealth and Poverty, which sold one million copies, was hailed as “one  of the bibles for the Reagan administration to carry out reforms”, and it also exerted a significant influence on  China. 

In the 1990s, Mr. Gilder, a contributing editor of the Forbes magazine, the Harvard Business Review and other  prominent magazines, began to advocate the Internet and the new economy. His works, such as Soul of  Enterprise, Wealth and Poverty, and Telecosm: How Infinite Bandwidth Will Revolutionize Our World, wielded  far-reaching influence. Mr. Gilder’s latest book Life after Google: The Fall of Big Data and the Rise of the  Blockchain Economy ranked the first in Amazon’s new book list.



Huo Jianguo 

Vice President of China Society for World Trade Organization Studies


Huo Jianguo is the Vice President of China Society for World Trade Organization Studies and the Former  President of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation. He holds a Ph.D. in  Economics and is a research fellow, doctoral supervisor, and an expert that enjoys special allowance from  the State Council. With the areas of academic interest including world economy and international trade, Huo  has long engaged in foreign trade management and policy research, and successively served as Deputy  Director-Generals of the Department of Foreign Economy and Trade at the State Economic and Trade  Commission and the department of foreign trade of the Ministry of Commerce. Huo has participated in the  researches on the expansion of the export strategy of mechanical and electrical products, the European  unified market, and the reform of China's foreign exchange system.  


Huo attended negotiations concerning China's entry into WTO and served in APEC. After China’s entry into  WTO, Mr. Huo has been in charge of the countermeasures for 14 industrial departments of the state economic  and trade commission and achieved fruitful results. He has also engaged in key projects of national philosophy and social science research and important subjects of the Ministry of Commerce several times. Huo also  participated in the research on the Development Prospects of the Sino-US trade and economic relationship in  the Next 10 Years co-organized by Tung Chee Hwa's foundation, China Center for International Economic  Exchanges (CCIEE), and the Ministry of Commerce.  


Huo has posted thousands of articles on core journals, such as Intertrade, International Economic Review,  and China Economic & Trade Herald, and published Chinese Foreign Trade and State’s Ability to Competition,  or Review on the History and Insight into the Future of International Trade, and other books. Huo has made a  great difference in the researches on the global economy, international trade, and the World Trade Organization.


Zhang Jun 

Dean of School of Economics at Fudan University  and Director of the China Center for Economic Studies


Professor Zhang, born in January 1963, is a Chinese well-known economist, and currently serves as Dean of  School of Economics at Fudan University, one of most prestigious universities in China.  

Over the past 20 years he has authored or edited numerous books including Economic Transition with  Chinese Characteristics: Thirty Years of Reform and Opening Up (McGill-Queen University Press, 2008),  Transformation of the Chinese Enterprises (Cengage Learning, 2009), Unfinished Reforms of the Chinese  Economy (World Scientific Publishing Ltd., 2013), and End of Hyper Growth In China(Palgrave Macmillan,  2016).  


He has been on the editorial board of about 40 academic journals both in Chinese and English including  Economic Systems, Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, East Asia Policy, Journal of Pro-Poor Economics,  China Social Sciences Review, China Economic Quarterly, China Economic Journal, China: An International  Journal, and editor-in-chief of Fudan Economic Papers.  


Professor Zhang publishes widely. Recent contributions have been to Structural Change and Economic  Dynamics, The World Economy, China Economic Review, Economic Modelling, Economic Systems,  Comparative Economic Studies, Journal of Asian Economics, Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, the  Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies, etc. In January 2018, he was rewarded the Bergson Prize  by the American Association for Comparative Economic Studies(ACES) for his paper published in Comparative Economic Studies in 2015. Also in 2015, he was awarded the Prize of China Economics Innovation.  


He is a seasoned speaker who shares with his audience in-depth analysis on the Chinese economy. He has  addressed as invited guest speaker to Wilton Park Conference, St. Gallen Symposium, Mizuhu Forum, Asia  Casa, Forbes Forum, Global Financial Forum, J-China Forum, The Danish Top Executive Business Summit,  Global Marine Forum, Shanghai Forum, The Asian Leadership Conference, etc. Since mid-1990s, he has  frequently been invited to deliver speeches to Memorial Lectures or Special Lectures hosted by universities in  either US, UK, France, Sweden, or New Zealand, Japan and Korea.  


Professor Zhang is the founding Director of the China Center for Economic Studies, a Shanghai-based  Think-Tank for the Chinese economy. With his efforts and leadership, the Center has built up global connections across the world and became one of most important platforms in China for visits and lectures by world  leading economists.


Carlo Diego D’Andrea 

Vice President at European Union Chamber of Commerce in China  (EUCCC) and Chairman at the Board-Shanghai Chapter


Mr. D’Andrea, the general manager and lawyer of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, is responsible for daily  operations and development of the law firm in China. The principal work of D’Andrea & Partners Legal  Counsel is to provide clients with suggestions on how to conduct business in the Chinese market, especially  advice on foreign direct investment, mergers, commercial contracts, intellectual property rights, consulting,  as well as commercial disputes and arbitrations. In addition, the law firm is dedicated to helping Chinese  companies invest in Italy and Europe. 


Mr. D’Andrea served as the Chairman at the Board-Nanjing Chapter of EUCCC, a visiting professor of Italian  Civil and Commercial Law in the Law School of Nanjing University, the Coordinator at Nanjing Working Group  of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, and the Managing Partner of Greater China of Picozzi & Morigi Studio  Legale. 


With a master’s degree in law, Mr. D’Andrea specializes in international law and studied Chinese at Nanjing  Normal University. Since 2017, Mr. D’Andrea has served as Vice President at EUCCC and Chairman at the  Board-Shanghai Chapter.


Chen Rui 

Chairman and CEO, Shanghai Bilibili Technology Co., Ltd.


Mr. Chen Rui is the Chairman and CEO of bilibili. He once worked for Kingsoft Corporation, one of the earliest  Internet software companies in China, and later served as the co-founder of Cheetah Mobile. 


Under the leadership of Mr. Chen, bilibili has become a leading cultural community for young people in China.  In March, 2018, bilibili was listed on the NASDAQ in the US.At present, the percentage of young users aged  18-35 on bilibili is as high as 78%, the average monthly active users reach 202 million, the average daily  usage time stands at 75 minutes, and the average daily total views of videos is 1.2 billion. 


In 2016, Mr. Chen was selected into the Top 40 Business Elites Under 40 in China list of Fortune magazine.  In 2018, he won the 2018 Top Ten Economic Trends Figures in China during the 2018 China Economic  Trends Figure Selection hosted by Sina Finance, Sina Technology, Weibo Entrepreneurs, etc. In 2019, he was  awarded the Business Model Innovator of the Year by the 2019 Outstanding Business Leaders.  DISTINGUISHED G
